Here is an update on what's happening with us.
Jeff - left for Scout Camp on July 21st. Dennis went up to help drive and situate the boys, help the new Scout Master and came back Monday night. Jeff is due back on Saturday. Dennis will drive back up and help bring the boys home. Jeff is going to work on 3 Merit Badges. Next Jeff has to find a project to do for his Eagle and start working on it. He only has 7 months until his 18th B-day, so he has to work quick. Jeff returned home from Utah a couple weeks ago. He went out to spend some time with Melissa and Will before going to EFY on BYU's Campus. He ran into Ginelle and M.E. Rowley(they were also at EFY) while there and also saw Lauren Scott(who is attending BYU for the summer). He really enjoyed EFY and met some new people. He's following in Mel's footsteps in doing his years at BYU. Jeff has been doing Independent Studies for Summer School and doing very well. He will continue Independent Studies for his Senior year of High School at the end of August. He will be getting a part-time job after we return home from vacation so he can earn spending money and save for his mission.
Amanda - is still living in Salt Lake City and attending LDS Business College and working at Rite-Aid. She enjoys her job very much and making new friends. She is living with 3 other roommates and their problems. Too Much Drama!!! She is doing pretty good in school and looking forward to next semester. Amanda is not sure what she wants to do in life, but is taking general education classes and some of interest and will find her niche in life soon. After our family vacation in August, Amanda will stay for a week long to visit with us and friends. She's looking forward to going to the ocean and taking back some of the sand with her. The Great Salt Lake just isn't the same.
Lorrie - I am still working at Safeway down the street. Hours are still crazy as ever. I have asked to learn two more departments to further my knowledge and looking at job opportunities in the Corporate office in Pleasanton. I've been tending to our Garden. I'm afraid we will have tomatoes coming out of our ears. I will have to learn to make many things with them. If anyone has some recipes to share, please let me know. We also planted cantaloupe, watermelon, corn and flowers. I'm still the Secretary in our Young Women's and enjoying it. I'm just about done with my Personal Progress. I have to practice what I preach to the girls. The girls just came back from Girls Camp. It was great to hear about their adventures. I went for 10 years while Mel and Amanda were young and going to camp. I took most of my vacation in March when Rachel was born to go out and help Mel and see my first Grand Baby.
Dennis - is still selling copiers, fax machines and printers with MBA of California. MBA was purchased by Toshiba not long ago. There have been some reps who have left and Dennis has been given their accounts, so his base is larger now. It doesn't seem like he's been selling copiers for 26 years. Dennis is the Young Men's President in our ward and is doing a great job!!!! He was Scout Master for so many years, this is something different for him. He still helps a lot with the Scouts and helping our new Scout Master learn everything.
Vacation - We are planning our summer vacation in August. We will be camping near Burney Falls, CA and then to Oregon to look at some areas and maybe attend the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. Dennis and I are really looking forward to getting away from work and traveling with the family. We are renting a motor home from a friend so we can all 7 be together. I wish we had more time to spend, but life is just so busy for us all.
Anniversary - Dennis and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on Sept. 25th. It's hard to believe its been that long. Where has the time gone. We are planning on going to Carmel for 3 days to enjoy the sunshine and ocean.
We had a great time in Utah for Rachel's Blessing. Time went by too fast. We only had 4 days, but it was great to see all the family together and got a great 4 generation picture with my mother, myself, Melissa and Rachel. We also took a picture with Ricki(Rachel's other Grandma) and it turned out great also. Who knows when we will get the 5 of us together again. If you ever fly out of Salt Lake City's Airport, get there early, the security line is very long and HOT!!
We hope to hear from all the Judd Families and see what you are up to. I will get other pictures posted soon so you can see how we have all changed.
