Updates on Dennis, Lorrie & Jeff
Hello All,
I don't have any pictures to put up, we are missing our digital cameras and haven't replaced them yet. Here is what we are up to:
Our weather is wonderful!! Lots of sunshine and warmth.(I did have some ice on my car when I left work this morning at 6:00am) Sorry to those of you in the snow. Once I finish this, I'm off to go sit at the beach and soak in some of the suns rays.
Jeff is now working at Jamba Juice in Scotts Valley. He seems to enjoy the job and is only part time right now, but he has only worked for two weeks. When I spoke to his boss last week, she said he is a really hard worker and is great with the customers. Jeff is doing great in school. He is doing independent studies for his senior year and is getting A's & B's.
Dennis is still working in the Copier business. The company he is working for is KBA. They are based out of Union City. He is still the Young Men's President and does a good job at it. He's organized a YM/YW's snow tubing Saturday coming up on the 22nd. We had to reschedule this from last month. The Bishop didn't want us all to have to put on chains. Since the weather has been great, we won't have to worry about chains, I just hope the snow will be enough.
I have been working crazy hours as always. I am helping in the File Maintenance Dept. part of the time and checking only a couple days a week. In FM, we hang the price tags. Most of my shifts are 4:00am to 1:00pm except one day a week I go in at 10:00pm until 7:00am the next morning. The overnight shift is because our new ad starts on Wed. at 7am and we have to have all expired tags off by 6am. Sometimes it's a hard shifts because once I'm up Tuesday morning, I don't usually take a nap before work at 10pm, so by the time I get off work it's about 24 hours up. Sometimes it's hard, but I enjoy getting off early and having the rest of the day to do something after a few hours of sleep. I'm the Second Counselor/Secretary in our Young Women's. I'm in charge of Personal Progress again. I teach PP one Wed. night each month and usually do the required ones. I am on the committee to help plan my 30 year High School Reunion(in Aug). Boy, has it been that long? There are a few people I'd like to see. I may also be doing a 3 day (60 mile) breast cancer walk in September with another gal in our ward. If we chose to do this, we each have to fund raise $2,200.00 to walk. It's a great cause, and I've know quite a few survivor's(including my mom).
We still have Uncle Danny living with us. We don't see him all that much. He's usually down in his room with the door shut doing something on the computer or talking with people on the phone. He leaves each day to go over and visit with Marta for a few hours or take her to an appointment.
We are planning a family vacation in April hopefully to San Diego. I can't wait!! I'm ready for some time away from work. I can't wait to see how much Rachel has grown and changed.(sorry to the rest of you, but you all don't change much.) I can't believe she is almost a year.
Well, that's what's up with us. Hope all is going well for you all. We want to see pictures of your families and updates on everyone. So don't all crowd at once, take turns and get those fingers typing so you can share info with the rest of us.
Love to you all, Lorrie
